Background Information:
- Mr. Cohen joined the firm in connection with Stifel’s acquisition of Ryan Beck; he joined Ryan Beck in 2003
- Prior to joining Ryan Beck, Mr. Cohen was partner and co-founder of Adams Cohen Venture Capital, LLC. Mr. Cohen co-founded Adams Cohen Securities in 1984 and led it to the top of the industry rankings in handling mutual to stock transactions. Over the course of 10 years, Adams Cohen raised over $7 billion in capital for thrifts and banks.
- In 1995, Mr. Cohen merged Adams Cohen & Associates and Adams Cohen Securities with Sandler O’Neill & Partners, L.P.
- Mr. Cohen served as a principal at Sandler from 1995-2001, where he had the responsibility of handling all conversion transactions.
